CHICKENPOX started out in 1992 as a celebration to old heroes like Desmond Dekker, The Skatalites, The Specials and the Beat. But CHICKENPOX worked hard and developed a musical identity easy to recognize on the blend of ska, pop and a little bit of soul. Though CHICKENPOX's music often is categorized as catchy and happy, the band has a lot of thoughtful lyrics as well as an overall mature concept.
